Teaser Tuesdays - December 22 - The Maze Runner

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser:

"Thomas looked around one more time, the feel of the place completely different now that all the walls were solid with no way out.  He tried to imagine the purpose of such a thing, and he didn't know which guess was worse-- that they were being sealed in or that they were being protected from something out there."

p.29, The Maze Runner

by James Dashner

Feel free to leave a comment here with any thoughts/questions about the book.  If you have a teaser to share, post it here or give us your link!  And while you're at it, share the link on MizB's site as well.  Happy reading!

  5. Pixie: I'm just getting started, and I'm still as clueless as the character Thomas. But I'm sure things will clear up as we go along, and I'll one day be eager to read Book 2!

  8. Heather:

As good as I'm sure The Maze Runner will be, I think you've definitely made the better choice in reading the great classic, Wuthering Heights.

Stay tuned to The Calico Critic. I hope to offer the book up as a giveaway. But I hope you win a copy before then!

I'll go check out your teaser as well...

This teaser is really good too. Makes me wonder what is on the outside and who is on the inside.

If you would like to stop by I did the Where are you... meme this week...

  11. Melissa:

Yes, I'm still at the point in the story that I've only had a "glimpse" of what lies beyond. It looks interesting!

Thakns for stopping by-- I'm going to head over to your place now!

  13. Rebecca:

It's not as creepy as the teaser. Suspenseful, but so far not too creepy. I'm about 2/3 of the way through it. It's pretty good! Stay tuned, will hold giveaway when I post my review.
